Digitize cassette tapes with 01X
Hi everybody,
I would like to digitize some cassette tapes. I meant my 01x is more professional "sound card" as my Soundblaster, so I should use for this task the 01x. So I'd like to connect my cassette deck to my 01x, but I don't know how can I get the best results? Has anybody any experiencies in this issue?
So what is yours suggestion, which should I connect the analogue LINE OUT (RCA) or the Head Phones to 01X? And which input (normal or HI-Z) should I use in 01X?
It make sense to use this task my 01x at all?

Sure, the 01X can do this no problem.
Your cassette deck probably has RCA outs.
Just get yourself a stereo RCA to 1/4" cable.
Or a pair of these,

Run them from the line outs on the cassette deck to input 3 and 4 on the 01X. Get a nice level with the line/mic knobs at the top of each channel (you'll want them to be equal) and record to a stereo track in your software (input 3 for left, input 4 for right).

thank you very much, I got this cabel and after some settings in 01x its working well...
An other question in connection with the same issue:
unfortunatelly I can not find the 01x as recording device in WIN7 devices.
After running MLAN Manager it's appear the 01x but just as playback device, so I can not choose in the Windows as recording device.
I'm working in Samplitude and I have no problem with recording, but for this task I'd like to use an other special software (eg. MAGIX Audio Cleaning Lab) where I have to choose the 01x as recording device.
Do you have any Idea, how can I set up or install the 01x as recording device in Windows?

mLAN must be running to establish a connection with the 01X.
Does Samplitude work with ASIO drivers?

yes, with ASIO mLAN driver, and it's working well...
I have problem only with an other software, where I have to choose the recording device from the Window7 list, and unfortunatelly I can find the 01x only as playback device and not as recording device.
